Aggregating Anemone The aggregating anemone is a type of colonial anemone, living together in close proximity. The colony is actually a congregation of genetically identical individuals, the result of reproduction by division. (The anemone is also capable of producing male-female reproductive cells.) The cloned anemone apparently accept each others physical closeness, but may sting other anemone that move too closely to the colony. |
